Sir Keir Starmer plans to press allies to provide Ukrainian forces with more extended-range weaponry to hit Russian targets during a meeting in the UK capital on this Friday.

Sir Keir will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", including over twenty of supporting nations who have pledged to offer the Ukrainian government defense assurances once hostilities pause is arranged.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for several weeks for additional long-range weapons from Western nations, a move that Moscow has cautions would escalate the war.

Ukraine's leader is travelling from the EU capital, where he conferred with EU leaders on Thursday requesting funding aid.

Sir Keir will press leaders to increase the delivery of advanced missile technology following a successful operation on a chemical plant in the Russian city, the Russian Federation, using Britain-delivered missile systems.
